JCT’s role in the milestone for Arrow 3

When Israel’s Arrow 3 air defense system recently achieved the milestone of making its first-ever operational interception — downing a missile that was likely fired from Yemen — it also marked a proud moment for the Jerusalem College of Technology.

Col. S., a senior member of Israel’s Directorate of Defense R&D who spearheaded the development of Arrow 3, is a graduate of JCT’s Electro-Optics Program at the Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT) and a past recipient of the Israel Defense Prize. He is among the various JCT alumni who have made influential, high-level contributions to the Israeli defense arena and other industries through development of Arrow missiles, David’s Sling, Iron Beam, Iron Sting, Ofek Satellites and the Trophy Armoured Shield Protection systems.
